Funding Opportunities in Horizon Europe framework: the Pillar 2 and
the European Innovation Council
October 7, 2021 | 15:00 – 17:00 CEST
Horizon Europe (HE) is the European Union framework program for research and innovation implemented by the European Commission for the period 2021-2027. With a total budget of 95.5 B€, HE is the largest transnational research and innovation program on civil applications.
The workshop will be divided in 3 talks that, starting with a brief introduction of HE program, will focus on:
i) Funding opportunities for research and innovation on the broader topic of electrochemical storage in the framework of HE Pillar 2, with a specific focus on the strategies of the co-programmed European Battery Alliance and the role of the Innovation Fund.
ii) European Innovation Council (EIC), the new one-stop-shop innovation agency of the European Commission. The approach, organization and vision of the EIC will be presented, with particular reference to current funding opportunities, proactive management of ongoing projects and process for the definition of strategic research and innovation challenges.
iii) Portfolio of EIC-funded ongoing projects in the field of electrochemical storage and future perspectives.
